Nicole Schultz & Alvin Ray
The next Exhibition at Benz Gallery will feature two of our artists who use bright, bold colours alongside hard edge lines within their work. Each artist will be taking a full room in the gallery to showcase their latest work.
Nicole Schultz graduated Western University with her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Honours Degree with a specialization in Studio Art in 2012. Following, Nicole continued on to receive her Bachelors of Education with Honours. Nicole is an Independent Custom Framer, Artist and Writer, in various mediums including Acrylic, Ink, and Mixed Media with a signature minimalist aesthetic that connects all of her work. Whether in single line ink drawings, bold hard edge paintings, or sculptural wall constructions, Nicole's work channels emotion, dreams and mysticism with a sharp clean style that is always recognizably hers.
Nicole's retro, yet very modern style of painting has become a favorite here at the gallery. Her fractured frame series have found their way into collections across Canada, USA and abroad. She will be experimenting with new colours, sizes and elements within her work for this exhibition.
Alvin Ray is the latest artist to be represented by Benz Gallery, He's Based in Oakville, Ontario, Alvin enjoys painting and experimenting with landscapes, cityscapes, and abstract pieces. Letting go and taking shapes and color to another level is when he enjoys painting the most. Alvin's landscapes have quickly gained a large following because of his strong colour combinations and signature painting style. The way he paints is not quite like anyone else we've seen and this show will highlight some of his larger work for the first time.
Two fantastic artists with two very different directions, but with some very interesting similarities within their work. It's going to make a very interesting and dynamic show.
